“We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at SouthWind East for a long weekend with family. It was a perfect location and the beach was pristine!! The house had so many wonderful views and was a convenient location to all things Gulf Shores! The kitchen was stocked with every cooking/baking need we could have ever needed. We barely left the house—we had home cooked family meals every day and it was such a wonderful time to spend with family! I have stayed in a lot of rental properties and Airbnbs—this was by far THE NICEST location I’ve been in! Oh and a huge bonus, it was very clean and had EXCELLENT AC. “The view took my breath away the moment we walked through the door. When it came to essential items, the house was exceptionally equipped, which made it a breeze to accommodate our 11-person group. The bedrooms felt very private from each other and everything was exceptionally clean. The host was also incredibly responsive, flexible, professional, and accommodating. Barrett notified us of early check-in potential and responded quickly to all of my messages before, during, and after the stay. Greatest of all was how well Barrett handled a snowstorm which left us snowed in two nights past the original check-out date. Being stuck wasn’t ideal, but we were grateful it was at such a beautiful place. The host cared about our safety above all else. It was nice to have several common areas as well and the large outdoor dining area was a plus. I can’t emphasize how amazing the scenery was and despite being in a neighborhood felt very private. This decision was sparked by two women I met completely by chance—one on the beaches of Fort Morgan years ago, and another on a Sunday beach stroll in Delray Beach. Within six weeks of that last conversation, I was in surgery.
It’s a reminder that there is a reason you are exactly where you are. You never know who you are going to meet—or how one conversation can change everything.

Outside is where this home really shines. A large pool deck offers plenty of space to soak up the coastal air, but my favorite spot is the southeast-facing screened-in porch—plush outdoor furnishings, peaceful mornings, and breezy afternoons. It’s the kind of space you never want to leave.
