Despite its modest size, the living room offers a spacious haven to escape the summer heat, while the inviting main-level kitchen sets the stage for convivial gatherings and culinary delights. Step onto the western-facing deck, a coveted haven for savoring morning coffee amidst the cool shade or indulging in evening cocktails beneath a canopy of stars. Here, the soothing melody of the waves and the gentle caress of the Gulf breeze envelop you in a cocoon of serenity and peace.

Rooted in Louisiana heritage, the owners infused Blue Bijou with the essence of their Creole roots, reflected in its name meaning "Blue Gem" in Haitian Creole. Every facet of this retreat holds a cherished place in their hearts, radiating warmth and hospitality to our esteemed guests.

With a legacy spanning nearly two decades in the O'Mahoney family, Blue Bijou has been a witness to the cherished moments and joyous celebrations of generations. In the fall of 2023, the owners graciously opened their doors to guests, entrusting us with the care of their treasured retreat. Though adorned with a few updates, the essence of this coastal jewel remains untarnished, continuing to captivate and delight visitors from near and far.

Accommodating up to six guests in two bedrooms and two baths, Blue Bijou promises a haven of comfort and charm, where every moment shines bright like a radiant diamond. Please note, we do not offer sleeper sofas, and we maintain a pet-free environment to ensure the utmost comfort for all our guests.
